What does this project need? Your letters and your help. If you have any letters you would like to share please send them our way. You can send scanned copies of actual letters, emails, or Word docs. We understand that the traditional love letter is dying. Because of this we would like to broaden it’s definition. We will also accept IM conversations, text messages, and any other form of a modern sentiment of love.
You can include a story to go a long with the letter, or just the letter itself. You can remain anonymous or chose to have your name posted a long with the letter. Since the blog/project is in it’s inception phase anything goes until we come across something that doesn’t. Feel free to return to this FAQ for more updates as time goes on.
Why should you share your intimate love letter/s with the world? Because the world needs more of them. Imagine the happiness your letter will give to someone who hasn’t yet received one. Imagine the hope it will bring to those dreaming about love but questioning their sexuality. Within your letter they may see themselves and realize they are far from alone in what they are feeling. Maybe sharing your letter will give you closure on a relationship long past. Maybe you have a letter that you never sent to the person it was intended for that you can now share with the world. Should my submission only be positive in nature? Just because it’s called a love letter doesn’t mean that love, in it’s positive form, has to be the underlying emotion. We will be more than happy to post “Break Up” letters. We would also like to focus a portion of the project on letters that never got sent.
I don’t want my name associated with my submission. What do I do?If you don’t want to be associated with your letter just add a note letting us know when you email your submission. On the other hand, if you want us to include your name, email address, ect, please let us know that as well.
Can people leave comments in regards to my submission? Yes. However, the admin for Queer Love will moderate all comments. This is to ensure the deflection of span and derogatory comments. If you would prefer the comment option not be available for your submission please specify that in your email.
